🧠 AI Consultancy

Straight answers about what AI can do for you

There is an enormous amount of noise about AI and very little of it is aimed at a twelve-person business in Nottinghamshire.

We do fixed-fee, plain-English work: find out what is already happening, decide what is worth doing, write the policy, train the staff.

💰 Pricing

Fixed fees, because the market is silly

UK AI consultancies commonly charge £3,500 to £8,000 for a readiness assessment and £500 to £1,500 a day thereafter.

For a large organisation with a transformation budget, that is reasonable. For a business turning over a couple of million it is a non-starter, which is why most of them do nothing at all.

The audit starts from £495 + VAT and credit it against any work you go ahead with. We would rather have the conversation than protect a day rate.

📋 The audit

What the audit actually covers

01

What is already being used

Almost always more than the owner thinks. This part surprises people.

02

Where the data risk sits

Which tools retain what, and what that means if you handle personal or client-confidential information.

03

Where AI would pay back

Ranked by return, with rough costs. Not a wish list.

04

What to avoid

The things that look impressive in a demo and cause problems in practice.

05

A draft usage policy

Something you can adopt immediately rather than commission separately.

What you get

A written report, not a slide deck, and a conversation about it.

🤝 Straight talking

What we will tell you not to do

We have talked clients out of chatbots that would have annoyed their customers, out of automating a process that needed fixing rather than automating, and out of buying AI at all when the real problem was a website that took nine seconds to load.

That is not modesty, it is self-interest. We host these businesses and answer their phone calls. Selling something that fails is more expensive for us than not selling it.

Frequently asked questions

What if the audit says we do not need AI?

Then that is the finding, and it is worth £495 to know it rather than spending five figures finding out slowly. In practice most audits identify one or two genuinely worthwhile things and a longer list of things to ignore for now.

Do you charge for the initial conversation?

No. Ring us and describe the business. If it is clear we cannot help, we will say so on the phone.

Is the audit fee really credited?

Yes, in full, against any build or retainer started within 30 days of the report.

Do you work with our existing IT provider?

Frequently. We are usually the ones explaining the AI side to them, and they are the ones telling us what we are not allowed to touch. That works fine.

Olly and the team have been brilliant to work with and bring a huge amount of knowledge to the table. Their support has been invaluable as we grow.
